Hi, I’m can, a travel writer who’s spent years riding China’s high-speed trains all over the country.

I started this site because when I first started traveling around China by train, I couldn’t find a single, simple, up-to-date guide that answered all my questions. Every tutorial was either outdated, written for Chinese locals, or full of confusing advice that didn’t work for foreign passport holders.

So I decided to build one myself.

Every guide on this site is tested. Every route I recommend is one I’ve ridden personally. Every screenshot you see is fresh from my own phone, taken in 2026.

I don’t work for train companies or big travel brands. I just love exploring China by train, and I want to help you do it too.
